Ministry Distinctives

Committed to Principle-Centered Teaching

This teaching method shifts the focus of learning from “what to know” to “how to know”—from “what to think” to “how to think.” We teach students to beyond the sphere of fact gathering for memorization and recall. It takes them into the realm of true learning as they discover how to think through the facts for themselves (reflective process) by applying principles of truth to the issues being discussed.

Committed To Academic Tutoring

Tutoring is a term used in scholastic circles and involves specific academic disciplines. A tutor must be able to listen and determine exactly where a student is struggling to grasp the concepts and underlying principles of what is being studied. Once that is determined, the necessary resources and guidance can be given to help that student know “how to think” through an issue, instead of “what to think” about that issue.

Committed to One-On-One Mentoring

The hard-core mentoring process takes many hours and long periods of time that are indeterminate when initiated. Nevertheless, getting involved in the lives of young people by helping them to work through their doubts and uncertainties about their faith is of great worth in the sight of God. A mentor acts as a guide to help the mentee navigate life’s journey by providing knowledge, advice, resources, encouragement, emotional support, and role modeling.

Committed to Personalized Ministry

There are many capable ministries who offer their services in the form of speaking engagements and seminars. They also provide resource materials to help equip God’s people. These kinds of ministries are needed and help Christians understand why faith in Christ makes sense. Yet, that is where most of these ministries end, “on the platform.” However, God has not called us to be a “platform ministry.” We have a “no-fee” policy and we do not sell our resources on location. We make a long-term commitments to train others in classroom settings, academic tutoring and one-on-one mentoring relationships.

Mission & Philosophy

Legacy of Truth Ministries is not the standard "platform ministry." Learn about our unique approach to apologetics.

Parachurch Ministry

Training Christians to witness to their friends and colleagues in a principle-based and culturally relevant manner.

What is Apologetics?

Defending the Christian faith, is not only a Biblical position but also an effective means for communicating the gospel.

The battlefield for spiritual and cultural warfare lies in the hearts and minds of today's young people ... tomorrow's leaders. Because of this, Christians should recognize the classroom as ground zero in the secular world's charge to eliminate all references to God from public policy.

Legacy of Truth Ministries (LTM), using academically respected First Principles, is already preparing the next generation of Christians to defend the faith and uphold godly values.
